Typographic Portrait Project

Project Outline

To design a typographic portrait of a celebrity, artist, or historical figure using only words and a single typeface family. The words that make up the visual shape of the typographic portrait should represent personality traits, accomplishments, quotes, and works associated with the figure.

The typographic portrait is an homage to Maya Angelou. The typeface Baskerville was chosen to establish a mode and tone, and to reflect the personality and imagery of Angelou. Baskerville was originally designed as a book face and represents Angelou's illustrious writing career.

Project Outline

Create a word cloud that portrays your favorite vacation destination.

This was my first attempt at creating a word cloud, and I'm proud of how it turned out, especially since the destination means so much to me.
