Project Outline

The Metromoheim Museum was curating the collections of three artists for their upcoming seasonal exhibits. The new, unique collections varied in style, aesthetics, and artistry. The museum approached me to create an 8- to 12-page catalog showcasing these collections and other various promotional materials for these exhibits in print and digital formats. The catalog would be text-heavy due to each collection’s descriptions and artist statements. In addition, the catalog needed to be available in digital format.

I created a high degree of contrast on the catalog's cover page using bold, contrasting colors to create visual interest and capture the reader's attention. Color was also used to help organize content and establish hierarchy throughout the catalog.

A multi-column or modular grid structure was designed for each section of the catalog to accommodate and effectively organize the content, which is heavy in both text and imagery. The grid structures help create a compositional layout that makes it easy and comfortable for readers to interact with the information being presented.
