Logo Design

Design application: Adobe Illustrator

I created Colored Margins Design as the name of my one-day future business. The name is derived from the popular phrases “color outside the lines” and “thinking outside the box.” In addition to being a representation of those ideas that the phrases conjure, the name and logo also reflect my experience and my self-identity as a Black man, as a person, in the world. The logo tries to symbolize and embody those big ideas that the name is a mélange of, in a simple, very minimalistic, and literal way.
